South Carolina grew faster than any other state. More booked work from a state that keeps arriving.

Black Glove builds AI into the tools South Carolina service businesses already run, from Fort Mill and Rock Hill to Greenville, Columbia, Charleston, Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head. We are based in Charlotte, just over the state line, and we work with owners everywhere else in the state by video and screen share, inside the accounts your team already uses.

The fastest-growing state, growing in very different ways

South Carolina added 79,958 people between mid-2024 and mid-2025, a 1.5 percent gain and the fastest rate of any state. That growth lands differently in each region. The Upstate's Greenville-Anderson-Greer metro passed one million residents in 2025, and BMW's plant in Greer built 396,117 vehicles that year, more than any other BMW factory in the world. The Midlands lean on government and the Army: the Columbia metro holds about 880,000 people, and Fort Jackson trains half of all soldiers entering the Army each year.

The coast runs on visitors and new arrivals. Tourism produced a record $31 billion in statewide economic impact in 2025, $6 billion of it from hotels and vacation rentals. The Charleston metro reached about 889,000 residents and Horry County's Myrtle Beach metro about 428,000, while Hilton Head Island draws 2.5 million visitors a year and neighboring Bluffton went from 12,530 residents in 2010 to an estimated 36,807 in 2025. Along the North Carolina line, Fort Mill grew 37.2 percent from 2020 to 2023, and Lancaster County ranked fifth in the state for growth from 2024 to 2025.

Fort Mill, Rock Hill, Tega Cay, Indian Land, Lake Wylie, Clover, York, Lancaster and Gaffney. Paid builds here include kickoff and training on site.

Greenville and Spartanburg

The Greenville-Anderson-Greer metro has passed one million residents, and Spartanburg was the third-fastest-growing metro in the country in 2025. New streets in Greer, Woodruff and Fountain Inn fill with households that have no contractor saved in their phones yet. Our builds sit inside the software Upstate service firms already run, so the first call goes to you and every estimate keeps moving.

Columbia

Columbia runs on the State House, the University of South Carolina and Fort Jackson, and the service work around them rarely slows. The city averages 72 days a year at 90 degrees or hotter, and Lexington County keeps adding homes. Black Glove wires AI into the programs Midlands contractors already use, so a call from Irmo or Blythewood is answered before the next company on the list picks up.

Charleston

Roughly 40 people a day have moved to the Charleston region since 2020, and visitors added an estimated $14.35 billion to the local economy in 2025. Between new subdivisions in Summerville and century-old houses on the peninsula, service firms here rarely run short of calls. We build AI into the software your office already uses so fewer of those calls slip away.

Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand

The Grand Strand stretches 60 miles and pulls in more than 20 million visitors a year, while Horry County keeps adding full-time residents, many of them retirees. That gives contractors two economies in one market: condo turnovers along Ocean Boulevard and growing neighborhoods inland toward Conway. Our job is wiring AI into the software Grand Strand firms already pay for, so neither side gets dropped.

Hilton Head and Bluffton

Hilton Head Island drew about 2.98 million visitors in 2023, and its population can swell to 150,000 at the summer peak. Across the bridge, Bluffton more than doubled between 2010 and 2020. Rental turnovers, retirees and young households keep Lowcountry crews booked solid. We add AI to the tools your office already uses so no owner, guest or homeowner waits on an answer.

$36,400kept a year

A 25-person pest control company in the Charleston metro. An example, worked step by step.

  1. South Carolina lenders generally want a CL-100 wood infestation report before a home closes, so each sale around Charleston sends an inspection request to a pest company.
  2. Say the company gets 15 CL-100 requests a week from agents, and 3 of them go elsewhere because the callback came the next day, which is 156 lost requests a year.
  3. If 1 in 4 of those inspections would have led to a treatment and bond worth $1,400 in the first year, that is 39 jobs and $54,600 of work.
  4. Speed to Lead answers each request in minutes and offers inspection times, and saving 2 of every 3 keeps $36,400 a year.

The CL-100 report that lenders ask for at closing is a real South Carolina requirement, while the request volume, lost share and treatment value are round example inputs.

What South Carolina's busiest trades lose, and the fix

Pest control and termite work

Termites come with owning a house here. Formosan colonies, which can pass a million workers, are established along much of the coast and inland in counties such as Lexington and Sumter, and native species swarm statewide every spring. Lenders generally want a CL-100 wood infestation report before closing, so each home sale creates an inspection. Money slips when those requests wait a day for a callback, or when a bond renewal reminder never goes out.

Roofing and storm repair

Storms reach South Carolina from the ocean and through the mountains. Ian made landfall at Georgetown in 2022, and two years later Helene left more than 745,000 customers without power, over half of them Duke Energy customers in the Upstate, with 480 roads closed by downed trees and lines. After an event like that, the roofer who answers first gets the inspection, and every call that rolls to voicemail goes to a competitor.

Vacation rental cleaning

Hotels and vacation rentals brought in $6 billion of the state's tourism impact in 2025, spread across Grand Strand condos, Charleston-area rentals and Hilton Head villas, where about 70 percent of the island sits inside gated communities. Turnover work means tight windows, gate access, linen counts and same-day changes from property managers. Money slips through missed texts, double-booked crews and turnovers nobody confirmed until the guest was already at the door.

One way of working, from Gaffney to Bluffton

Every engagement starts with a free video call about where your revenue and margins leak. If a build makes sense, we put the price, scope and timeline in writing, and we only propose work that can return four times its price in the first year. Builds run by video and screen share inside your own accounts, and we never host your customer data. In-person kickoff and training happen only for paid builds inside the Charlotte metro, such as Fort Mill, Rock Hill or Indian Land. Terms are identical statewide.

Find out what you're leaving on the table.

Twenty minutes. We trace how a lead and the work move through your business and show you where the money leaks. No slides. No pitch.

  • You walk us through how leads come in and who handles them.
  • We name the one or two leaks costing you the most.
  • If a build makes sense, you get a fixed quote in writing. If not, you leave with the advice anyway.

Free video call. No pitch. We reply with times to talk.

South Carolina owners ask.

Do you work with South Carolina businesses outside the Charlotte area?

Yes. We work with service firms in Greenville and Spartanburg, Columbia, Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head and Bluffton entirely by video and screen share. The build happens inside the software you already pay for, so distance from Charlotte has no effect on what we can deliver or how quickly the system goes live.

We're in Fort Mill or Rock Hill. Does anything change for us?

Those towns sit inside the Charlotte metro, so a paid build there can include an in-person kickoff and training for your team. The first consultation is still a free video call, and the price, scope and terms are the same ones a Columbia or Charleston company would get. Most of the build itself still happens by screen share.

Which system helps most after a storm like Helene or Ian?

Most storm-heavy firms start with Speed to Lead, which answers every form, text and voicemail within minutes and collects the address, photos and damage details. The Customer Service Assistant then handles status questions while crews are out. Together they keep your phone line from becoming the reason a homeowner hires someone else after a storm.

We run a pest company with termite bonds across several South Carolina counties. Can renewals and CL-100 requests be automated?

Much of that work can be. Back-Office Automation can send renewal notices on schedule, prepare invoices and log payments in your existing software. Speed to Lead can answer CL-100 requests from agents and buyers right away and offer inspection times, so a closing date does not slip because a request sat in the inbox overnight.

Where does our customer data live if a Charlotte firm builds the system?

In your own accounts. Black Glove does not host or store customer data for any client, in South Carolina or anywhere else. We build inside your CRM, phone system, scheduling tools and other software you already use, and you keep the logins. If we ever stopped working together, everything would stay where it already lives.
